I currently live in the beautiful San Francisco bay area in northern California and I am loving it.  There is a lot of things to do here and a ton of opportunities that a girl like me can take advantage of.  The diversity of this area exposes you to many different people and cultures, and the large cities are all a very short distance to drive from one another, making it easy to find work where ever you are. I am currently in my last year of college and finishing up my bachelor's degree in video game art and design.  I go to school at Westwood College online as well as taking a few classes at a local community college.  Being a full time student and working full time is definitely challenging, and homework seems to be never ending, but at the end I feel really good that I am gradually working towards my educational goals. For work, I am a full time tradeshow model and professional gamer / game demonstrator.  Unlike those wanna-be models that get one job a month and then brag about how they have achieve "super model" status, I am a full time working model.  I typically work 5 - 7 days a week at various jobs, and I often work several jobs a day.  If I am not working in my local area, I travel the country working at various events and tradeshows.  Although traveling a lot can be fun, there is definitely no place like home.  I enjoy my line of work and the pay is pretty decent too.  Some people do not realize it, but it takes a lot of dedication to be a full time model since you really have to stay on top of all the jobs and agencies you run into.  On the days I am not working out in the field, I usually spend several hours at the computer and on the phone replying to the many jobs and offers I get daily.   I truly believe that I am very lucky to be as successful as I am.  I get a ton of promotional, event and tradeshow work, and I am very thankful for that.  I also believe that learning the business also greatly increased my chances of being where I am today.  I have a lot of friends who started in the modeling industry about the same time I did, and none of them get regular work, and when they do get work it is usually very low paying.  It takes more then a pretty face to make it in this industry.  You need to have a very reliable, have a respectable reputation and intelligence in order to attract the right kind of work.  Ask any of the many agencies and companies I work with and they will all tell you how much of a hard working model I am and how I also go above and beyond what is expected.  I am really doing very well with my modeling career. I am making a lot of good money to help pay for my schooling, and I am always signing up with new companies and agencies.  The way things are going now, I feel that it will only keep getting better.
